His compositional voice and utterly modern sense of harmony has changed the landscape of jazz in the 21st century, and his collaborative resume is unparalleled, having played with legendary musicians as diverse as Eric Clapton, Paul Motian, Joe Henderson, Gary Burton, Mark Turner, and Q-Tip.
Heartcore Records is thrilled to present Kurt Rosenwinkel Ultimate Book of Compositions– A complete collection of Kurt’s work as a composer containing over 150 songs and over 1500 pages. It will be available in 3 versions:
1. Ultimate (Physical + Digital + Unreleased + Sibelius files):
- Box set of two premium quality physical books (1: Scores, 2: Parts and transpositions) of Kurt’s full discography (over 100 songs, 1000 pages)
- Digital PDFs of all scores and parts including more than 50 exclusive additional unreleased compositions (over 50 songs, 500 pages)
- demo audio versions
- Sibelius, Sibelius6 and MusicXLM files so you can edit, transpose and rearrange the scores of these songs.
2. Physical + Digital:
- Beautiful 2 book box set plus digital PDFs of all scores and parts.
3. Digital:
- All of Rosenwinkels published works, PDF’s organized by album.
In all versions every song will contain all the necessary parts for each instrument involved, and will also include transpositions when appropriate for lyric songs, so the most comfortable key for vocalists can be chosen. In the files you will also find a simplified version of each chapter, without pictures or other complementary material so that you can print charts with ease.
The book will also come with extensive compositional and biographical context for every song, from never-before published transcriptions of interviews with Kurt himself. They are an intimate portrait of one of the great living jazz composers and guitarists, and will give you valuable insight into the stories and experiences that inform Kurt’s famously prolific output.
